Inside RayRay World Synopsis

(Right-click and 'View Image' for an enlarged view.)

Both characters named Ray & Ray who enacted several short skits using movement and actions. There was also music played and lights changed simultaneously in the background accentuating the emotions in each short skit.

With the various scenes played out, they both managed to bring a joyous atmosphere and delight the audience, making everyone laugh. Only the lighting and music could change the mood, and it was brilliantly executed. What made affecting the audience's mood so much more challenging for the play was that without mouths or dialogue, no expressions could be made. Everything had to be done through the characters' actions and the help of the crew.

They did several short skits during the 60 minutes performance such as where they tried to train a dog together and another was when they were playing with a baby. One of the scenes that caught the attention of ours was the scene in which both the characters who were portrayed as being identical, were dancing in the same way and executing identical moves, but one made tapping noises whereas the other made sounds instead. In this way, the directors showed the difference in both the characters using just sounds.

The audience, which was a mix of adults, teenagers and children was captivated throughout the play depicting that the play was intriguing and hence was good.
As said in the review, 'Using a mix of music, puppetry and a touch of the absurd, RayRay attempts to create meaningful performance art, but the odd fellows discover that you cannot make a statement unless you know what you are trying to say.' They have successfully achieved that.

This original creation is done by the animation director Raymond S. Persi and the award-winning film and television puppeteer Paul Pistore. It has also showcased its play across the USA in gala shows and film festivals.
